“It was a kind of dark, damp, wet space, but it was very fertile--one of those cold, East Village kinds of spaces, but the people made it hot,” Moonmade spoke glowingly. “It was a constant inspiration for us artists: seeing loads of films, slides of other [women’s] work, art still wet, so that you could smell the paint--it was wonderful.“
